Cleansing Tea, Margaritas, and Cheese! What a week!

I need cheese!

So I am through with my two week cleanse. I did the Skinny Fox Detox and I can tell you that I really enjoyed it.

image2It consists of a loose leaf tea that you make every morning for two weeks and then a teabag tea that you drink every other night. So I can tell you that as of today, I have lost a total of 6 pounds which was  pleasant surprise. I did the detox more to make my body feel better and less to lose weight so it was a nice side effect. I can also tell you that the detox recommends you avoid certain foods and that you increase intake of other foods. As I am trying to eat better anyway, I did pretty good with this. But I will say that they want you to avoid all dairy during this and well let me just say, I never really knew how much I loved cheese and how hard it was to avoid cheese. I think that I actually could have done better with the cleanse if I wasn’t so drawn to so many things that I shouldn’t have had. I even had a crazy cheat night that included cheese dip and margaritas. image3

Yes alcohol is frowned upon during the cleanse as well. I will definitely be trying this cleanse again. They recommend doing this particular two weeks cleanse every two to three months. I am feeling like this would be something really good for me every three months just for a quick reset. For me this was natural and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this for others. I would say that if you are interested in doing a cleanse, please do your research and stick with something that you can handle and if you actually like tea, I highly recommend this!

Loose Leaf Tea so pretty and light tasting. I enjoyed very much. I recommend a tea ball or even a french press for best results.

Night tea. Simple already in a tea bag. Goodbye Cherry Pie did not seem to have much to do with the flavor at least in my opinion but still good flavor.

On another note, I have been able to push my workouts up by signing up for a 5K race the day before my birthday. I have two months to train and I’m super excited. I may not be running the race but I will definitely be doing the 5K with all of my friends that can make it. I’m so excited and can’t wait to give you more updates as my journey continues. What do you do to keep your workouts interesting? I’m off to make a grilled cheese sandwich!

Love,

Becky

  2. Cheese. My spirit animal. If such a thing existed. That cleanse sure sounds interesting – congrats on that weight loss!!! And yay for 5ks! I hated running with s vengeance until my first 5k. It became kind of addicting. I usually just run on a treadmill watching tv shows I enjoy so that’s all I’ve got as far as interesting. Haha
